| Wonderful performances by Michael Kitchen and Joan Plowright but Josie Lawrence steals the show. I watch this whenever I'm blue and am so happy to own it. It's an intelligent, believable adult fairy tale. The camera work is beyond excellent and the music is superb even as it is unobtrusive. Best of all, it's the opposite of Hollywood. That means no cookie cutter beauties, no slick easy answers, no pasting over awkward moments by incompetent writers with tired pop tunes. This is the real deal folks: a work of art (with humor). |

| I loved this series, when I first watched in on television back in the '80s. Every couple of years I pull the tape off the shelf and re-watch it.This is not just for Bryan Brown fans, but for the Gordon Jackson fans in the crowd. Jackson's portrayal of a man who falls in love too late in life, is very touching.I would love to see it available on DVD! |

| Saw this when I was very young, maybe 9 or 10, and it somehow moved me in a visceral way that I simply cannot convey in words. But I never found out what it was called. With the memory of the powerful ending vaguely imprinted on my mind I vowed that I would one day find out the name of this movie. I have been clutching at straws for years trying to figure it out. Only recently did I find out, I'm now 25!I have used the the Warner Brothers comment system on their website to try push for a DVD release. It MUST happen. | This isn't the most expensive or fancy Wizard of OZ DVD release, but for the money it is probably the best. I bought this for my daughter, and the DVDs are attractively screen printed. The case isn't anything fancy, but it does have a few extra features and I'm sure it'll be a treasured movie in our collection for years to come! |

| Although the product itself was in excellent condition,I was extremely disappointed in the timeliness of the shipment.I ordered it on May 5th. I didnt pay extra for faster shipment, but I did say that I needed it for Mother's day on the 11th. I understand that you cant guarantee delivery date but I was assured it would be mailed on Wed, May 7th. I didn't even get it the whole next week after Mothers day.It wasnt delivered until the 29th. I could have walked across the country in that time. |

| I was dragged to this movie as a young boy. What young man wants to see a movie with a singing prince and a love story? It didn't take long for me to enjoy the story of male bonding by singing and drinking in the beer garden soon to be followed by a sword fight. I can almost imagine myself serenading the beautiful and sexy barmaid (Ann Bylthe), especially with the flawless voice from GOD(Mario Lanza) lip-synced to near perfection by the prince(Edmund Purdom). All this plus an arrogant jerk is shown the error of his ways. Oh yeah, and the love story is classic. With 20-20 hindsight it's obvious that losing Lanza,the actor, was a stroke of luck. |

| I agree with others in wondering where the DVD is of this movie. I saw this movie in the theater when it came out and loved it then. Lately I have been listening to the music again and realizing it is some of Streisand's best. I wanted to see the movie again but, alas, no DVD after extensive searching!! I think it is long overdue. |
